Powered by the efforts of CreativeRush and through many collaborations with organizations across Wichita, Kansas. DTTW facilitates the creation of new original work in the span of 48 hours. Participating teams must write, shoot and edit a short film in just 24 hours using specific required elements and wholly original content. The following evening, the top films are chosen and are screened at the Sunday Night Showcase featuring VIP Judges and prizes.
Our mission is to cultivate a creative community, to discover new talent, connect with and engage makers through the visual medium.
Films are submitted at mamafilm and then a preliminary round is screened by an anonymous board who score each film to create the Top 15. The VIP judges – Lacy Barnes (Atlanta), Alan Calpe (New York City), and returning DTTW VIP, Sav Rodgers make the final choices and guide filmmakers with advice during the live showcase.
